Treating Cellulite

CelluliteCellulite or also known as adiposis edematosa is a cosmetic ailment characterized by presence of „dimply skin”, especially in the area of buttocs and thighs. It usually affects women. The fat in the tissues expands in volume, which consequently creates a pressure on the skin surface. Inflexible vertical ligamentous tissue doesn’t stretch with the surrounding fat tissue, which leads to formation of characteristic dimples reminding orange peel. Lymphatic and vascular flow is significantly reduced in these areas.Cellulite or also known as adiposis edematosa is a cosmetic ailment characterized by presence of „dimply skin”, especially in the area of buttocs and thighs. How to prevent the development of cellulite?

Presence of cellulite is affected partly genetically, and partly by external effects, for example food composition, amount of movement, and volume of dranked liquids within the day. Preventively you can increase the blood supply on the affected area, for example by Pressotherapy or manual lymphatic drainage or switching warm and cold stream of water when taking a shower. Higher blood supply of the tissue will activate the vascular and lymphatic system. If you want to stimulate the tissue with even more effect, you can apply on the surface of the skin radial shockwave.

What is the process of therapy?

Before the treatment, therapist will apply a ultrasound gel on the skin, which will enable the shockwaves to “penetrate” into the tissues. The place treated with shockwaves distorts the fat and activates the metabolic process, which enables a natural reductional of the fat cells. Thanks to stretching the ligament tissue (new production of collagen) the dimples get smoothed out, and there’s also decrease in circumference of the treated parts.

What are the treatment recommendations?

We recommend to absolve 8-12 treatments within 4-7 days. It is ideal to combine the shockwave therapy with pressotherapy, therefore we offer our clients beneficial prepaid card.

How much does the treatment cost?

The cost of therapy depends on the number of treated areas.
Each of these items represents one area

  • Back side of both thighs 6000 + 6000 shockwaves
  • Front side of both thighs 6000 + 6000 shockwaves
  • Buttocks 12 000 shockwaves
  • Stomach 12 000 shockwaves

Note: Shock wave treatment does not replace post-therapeutic regimen and adjusted lifestyle, which are an integral part of the treatment process. The effects of the shock wave are not typical, they can differ according to the individual dispositions of the client and ability to keep the post-therapeutic regimen, which have been conveyed to the client within the entry examination. Detailed backgrounds, or medical studies proving healing effects of the shock wave therapy can be reviewed at FYZIOklinika headquarters.
