Prenatal preparation

Prenatal preparation is led by experienced midwife Veronika Töpferová, DiS with rich experience from birthing rooms, but also as a mother of two wonderful boys.

FOR WHO IS THIS COURSE DESIGNED?

Preparation for future mothers is very important for those, who would like to educate themselves about the process of pregnancy, birth, possible approaches to birth but also about the care for the baby. At the same time it will help you to regain the certainty that you and your partner will be able to care for the baby by yourself after the birth without any problems.

THE PROCESS OF THE COURSE

The course is composed of three parts, which are always once a week. Each lecture is 2 hours long (120 minutes) and the topics are always related to the previous ones, from pregnancy up to the care for the baby.

1 Lecture

  • Getting to know other mothers

  • Practical informations, what is important and what is necessary to learn before the birth

  • Reasons which will lead you to the departure to hospital

  • What is “Department of high risk pregnancy”

2 Lecture

  • Coming to the birthing room

  • I., II., III. stages of labor

  • Lying-in

  • We recommend to bring your partner along, friend or a doula (birth companion), someone who will accompany and support you during the whole time of the birthpříjem na porodní sál

  • Breastfeeding

  • Treatment for baby

IS IT NECESSARY TO ABSOLVE THE WHOLE COURSE?

We recommend to finish the whole course, even though it is possible to attend only the chosen topics (chosen lectures) or finish the course individually.
